I started a new sketchbook last week, one with a bit more space to spread out. There's something about a brand spanker of a new book, to create whatever I like in, it makes me so happy - and creative! I love my first spread so much, I wish I had of done it as an actual art piece instead. I'm working on a piece inspired by this but I'm not sure on it yet ;)
My aim with this spread was for it to be freeing, not so labour intensive with all my detailed colouring and embellishments - finish it fast. It did end up embellished but it was definitely a lot more relaxing to create.
If you'd like to do something similar the materials I used were Daler Rowney Acrylic Inks, Faber Castell Artist Pitt Pens in various colours for shading, a Unipin Fineliner and a white Signo gel pen. Simple pimple!
